President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed a former Legal Adviser of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Dr. Muiz Banire, as Chairman of the Governing Board of the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria.
Banire is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
The President also appointed the chairman and 12 commissioners of the Federal Civil Service Commission.

Banire held a parallel congresses in lagos during the APC last congresses in lagos vowed to curb Tinubu influence in lagos Muiz Banire was the APC National legal adviser who described Tinubu’s congress as illegal, adding that the congress which he supported has the backing of the constitution.
Banire’s argument is that his faction’s congress has delegates from the 20 Local Governments recognised by the constitution of Nigeria. H e refused to recontest for the APC national legal adviser in the just concluded APC National congress
